Since Then

As promised, I will update more information to get everyone caught up to where we are today. Since being married, Libby and I have moved to Texas because of my new job. We moved in our apartment in January and have been loving Texas ever since. We were planning on getting a house when we moved here to Texas, but didn't want to be rushed to buy anything, so we opted in to renting an apartment first.

We have travelled back and forth from Texas to Mississippi a few times since being here. A few days ago we came back from Mississippi after getting to see our amazing new nephew and taking care of his older sister and brother. It was fun getting to act like parents for three days; definitely good training for when Libby and I finally have children. Like usual in Mississippi though, it was raining pretty much the whole time we were there. One thing I can say about this trip... Kids are cute, but you can only Chick-Fil-A so many times in three days. Haha.

Also while in Mississippi this last time, we had the opportunity to celebrate David and Libby's birthday. On Saturday we went to Sal and Mookies (probably one of the best pizza places on Earth... well, in Mississippi at least) to enjoy the "Park Avenue" with sautéed spinach and mushrooms. It's basically a white pizza with a bunch of different cheeses on it. There were eight of us there including the two kids. Surrounded in Italian atmosphere, we all had a good time with many laughs. My mother bought Libby a LED message board for her birthday. About the size of a piece of paper, the LED message board looks blank when the light was off, but as soon as you turned the light on, you could see whatever was written or drawn on the board. Well, needless to say, as soon as our seven year old niece and three year old nephew saw this, they were immediately hooked with fascination. So, they spent the entire evening playing with the board back and forth.

After enjoying a pizza and a half, Ms. Beth (Libby's mom) invited us over to her house to have some cake and ice-cream. When we arrived, she had a home-made strawberry cake and vanilla ice-cream waiting for us. I'm not much of a cake fan, but I DO love strawberries. Needless to say, Ms. Beth is one heck of a cook; her cake was awesome! Libby had requested the strawberry cake from her mother. As most people know, Ms. Beth will do whatever it takes so you can have what you want for your birthday. While we sat around the dinning table eating our cake and ice-cream, Libby and I decided it was time to break the news we've wanted to tell our families...
